About Andrea Chedas

As a former Senior Manager of Corporate Security at Scotiabank, Andrea led complex investigations across 24 Caribbean and South American countries, earning the prestigious "Best of the Best" award multiple years running. Her experience as a Detective Constable with the Toronto Police Financial Crimes Unit provided her with deep insights into corporate fraud, counterfeiting, and organized crime, working alongside major agencies including the FBI, CSIS, and RCMP.

Today, Andrea serves as:

• Canadian Chapter Vice Chair for the Institute of Strategic Risk Management
• Chief Security Officer on the board of the Cyber Security Global Alliance
• Trusted advisor to organizations navigating complex security challenges
• Regular speaker at industry conferences and contributor to security documentaries

Andrea's commitment to positive change extends beyond the security sector. As a parent of a low-vision child, she actively supports the CNIB Foundation, advocating for the blind and partially sighted community. Through her work with the YWCA, she champions women's career development and creates opportunities for underrepresented voices in the security industry. 

Andrea's approach combines innovation with empathy, technical expertise with human understanding. She believes that security is not just about protection—it's about creating environments where people, businesses, and ideas can flourish without fear or limitation.
